NI Conservatives’ co-chair, Trevor Ringland, has condemned a car bomb attack on the Victoria Square shopping centre, which took place yesterday evening.
“This was a completely reckless attack upon the whole community”, Trevor said. “It is another attempt to bring mayhem and misery back to the streets of Northern Ireland. There are still a tiny minority of fanatics who are absolutely determined to disrupt the lives of the law-abiding majority and to damage livelihoods.”
“Anybody with any information about this crime should contact the police. It’s vital that the perpetrators know that they will end up behind bars. Acts like these are completely futile, they have no support in the community and they damage all the good work which is going on to try to make Northern Ireland a more prosperous, harmonious society.”
