The people who sent two letter bombs addressed to Maghaberry Prison are, “absolute idiots who could have maimed or killed postal workers or someone else.”
“These attacks were absolutely irresponsible and absolutely reprehensible”, Mark said. “The people behind the bombs seem determined to cause death or serious injury. It is disgraceful to subject postal workers to this danger, just as it is disgraceful to target those working at Maghaberry Prison.”
“A tiny, deranged minority of people in Northern Ireland is determined to drag us back into the past. We mustn’t let them. Every attempt to launch an attack like this should redouble our efforts to build a shared, stable future for everyone in our community.”
