NI Conservatives’ co-chairman, Trevor Ringland, has welcomed the arrival of the World Police and Fire Games to Belfast and expressed his confidence that the event will be enjoyed by both competitors and spectators.

“It’s extremely exciting to see a sporting event of this magnitude arrive in Northern Ireland”, Trevor said.  “We welcome all the competitors, their supporters and coaches to Belfast and we hope that they thoroughly enjoy a Games which will offer some top class competition and a great spectacle for spectators.”

“This is a chance for everyone to enjoy a festival of sport.  I’ve no doubt that the people of Northern Ireland will provide all of our visitors with a warm welcome and that the event will be a huge success."
