NI Conservatives’ vice chair, Trevor Ringland, has described the attempt to kill a PSNI officer on the Upper Newtownards Road as ‘ disgusting and repellent’.
“This latest attack is absolutely shameful”, Trevor said. “The fanatical people who seem determined to drag Northern Ireland back into the past simply cannot be allowed to prevail. The message from the vast majority goes out loud and clear, ‘stop, let us live our lives and leave us alone’”.
“Anyone with any information about this incident should come forward to the police. We all need to commit to a genuinely shared future which has no place for such attacks.”
