Harry Cullen, spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Conservatives, has welcomed a £4 million hotel development at the Diamond Portstewart as “great news for the town”.
“This investment is extremely welcome and extremely timely”, Harry said. “The new hotel will bring much needed jobs and tourists to Portstewart and the renovated building will be a wonderful addition to the town.”
“Of course the Irish Open Championship golf which will be held at Royal Portrush this summer presents a marvellous opportunity to hoteliers. It's vital that Northern Ireland's tortuous planning process does not hold up the opening of this facility.”
“As the tourist board's slogan proclaims, this is “our time”. It's absolutely vital that stunning facilities like the Diamond development are open and trading for the exciting events which are happening in Northern Ireland this year.”
