After a successful election campaign, it looks like a helpful hand from the Northern Ireland Conservatives was enough to elect Julie Currie in Stranraer & Rhins for the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party. Winning by 42 votes, it shows that the help between sister parties on the ground was enough to hold off other parties from winning the seat on Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Shown in the pictures is a delegation from both sides of the Irish Sea, with Craig Hoy MSP, out canvassing last Saturday 15th November 2025.
With help just a short ferry ride away, this goes to prove that help is never far away and will certainly be tried again in the near future.
